Leatherneck Women's Golf Releases Schedule

Western Illinois tees off the season Sept. 11

MACOMB -- The Western Illinois women's golf program unveiled it fall 2023 and spring 2024 schedule this week featuring a busy calendar for both seasons.

The Leatherneck women tee off the 2023 fall portion of the schedule on September 11 and 12, playing at the Payne Steward Invitational at Twin Oaks Country Club in Springfield, Missouri.

Western Illinois is back in action the following week, playing the Ball State Cardinal Classic at TPC Yorktown. After a few weeks off, the Leathernecks close the fall portion of the schedule on October 2-3 at the Big O (Oak Hills Country Club, Omaha, Nebraska), the Bradley Invite (Oct. 7-8, Coyote Creek) and The Judson (Oct. 30-31, Hattiesburg Country Club, Hattiesburg, Mississippi).

The Leathernecks begin the spring half of the schedule February 13 and 14, making the trip to Litchfield, Arizona to play in the Bowling Green Intercollegiate at Wigwam Country Club. Western Illinois is back in action the next week, playing at the Alabama State Spring Classic (Robert Trent Jones Senator Golf Course, Feb. 18-19, Montgomery, Alabama).

The Leathernecks take nearly a month off before visiting Tampa, Florida to play in the Butler Intercollegiate at East Lake Woodlands Country Club (March 11-12).

Western Illinois is next in action on April 5-6, hosting the WIU Intercollegiate at TPC Deere Run in Silvis. It is the second-straight year the Leathernecks have hosted a home tournament at Deere Run.

The Leathernecks play their regular season finale two days later, teeing off at The Stampede at the Creek at Indian Creek Golf Club in Elkhorn, Nebraska (April 8-9). Western Illinois plays in the Ohio Valley Conference Meet April 14-16, hitting the links at Tunica National Golf Club in Tunica, Mississippi.
