Grice named Summit tennis Athlete to Watch

Leathernecks open season Jan. 27

With the start of the season a few weeks away, Western Illinois' Paige Grice was honored by the Summit League, being named as an Athlete to Watch for the upcoming season.

Grice, a sophomore from Kamloops, British Columbia, Canada, led the Leathernecks with six singles victories last season, going 6-9. She had three doubles victories, pairing with Agatha Carbonell for two and Ashley Jacobson for a third.

As a team, the Leathernecks were slotted in the eighth spot, garnering seven points. Western Illinois opens the season on Friday, January 27 at IUPUI.
