The 44th Annual Leatherneck Club Golf Classic takes place Monday, June 6, at the Harry Mussatto Golf Course. Registration begins at 11 a.m. and tee time is set for noon. The event features numerous Leatherneck student-athletes, coaches and administrators, along with prizes and giveaways.
The cost is $125 per person and includes: food and drinks at a Sunday social, 18 holes of golf and a cart, an Adidas registration gift, a Jimmy John's box lunch, a social and dinner. Hole sponsorships are available for the Leatherneck Club Golf Classic. A sponsorship of $750 allows four golfers to participate, and includes a custom hole flag, Adidas registration gifts for four, advertisement on starter sheets, tee box signage and opportunity for advertisements in giveaway bags. Banks that sponsor a hole for $750 will compete for the coveted "Battle of the Banks" traveling trophy, which is awarded to the bank-sponsored team with the lowest score. Participants will also have the opportunity to purchase raffle tickets for a chance to win great prizes.
The annual pre-golf social is scheduled for Sunday, June 5, 2022, at the Macomb Country Club starting at 6 p.m. All Leatherneck Club members and any individuals interested in learning more about the Leatherneck Club are welcome to attend.
Founded in 1971, the Leatherneck Club is the primary fundraising program of Western Illinois University Athletics. It provides annual funding for nearly 400 deserving student-athletes, allowing them to excel in the classroom and compete at the NCAA Division I level.
