"Our overall team performance wasn't what we expected to achieve today." coach Trey Brokaw said. "We have two weeks to work out the kinks and bring our best performance to the Summit League Championships."

The men's and women's team continued to be led by upperclassmen, Logan Lommel and Paulina Wuestefeld. While all three of the freshmen women walked away with personal bests for the 6k distance. Kayden Gilmore had the largest improvement, taking nearly one minute off of her time from two weeks ago. Kristina Petrou and Aylana Cezar also dropped 32 and 7 seconds off their personal records.

"It can be tough for young athletes to gauge their performance when stepping up to the collegiate level." Coach Brokaw said. "A personal record is a great way for them to see where they are at, while their place in a competitive field doesn't always show that improvement."

The Leathernecks head to Grand Forks, North Dakota for the Summit League Championships on October 29th.
