Record List Adjusted in Day Two of Championships

Lucas Hofer now sits sixth all-time in the men's 800-meter.

VERMILLION, S.D. - It was only a matter of time. Western Illinois has adjusted its records list at nearly every meet this season and continued in that theme on the second day of the Summit League Outdoor Track & Field Championships Friday (May 14). Ackeen Colley, Richard Brown, and Lucas Hofer each punched a ticket to the men's 800-meter final, and the preliminary race held extra significance for one.

Hofer now joins his teammates above on Western's 'Top 10," after finishing fourth in 1:50.13. He currently sits sixth all-time.

Colley won the prelim in 1:49.92, and Brown came in at third place in 1:53.95. The three will compete in the 800-title race Saturday at 1:55 p.m.

The Leathernecks registered several other personal records on day two including: Tyronay Taylor (long jump / 5.69 meters); Zwandi Harrison (400 /59.23 ); Logan Lommel (800 / 1:56.65); Olin Ortiz (800 / 2:02.59); Jade Ford (800 / 2:29.92); and Morgan Reed (shot put / 13.05 meters).
