Amy Andrews earns her first career Summit League award.

SIOUX FALL, S.D. - After a dominant second half of the season for Western Illinois, Amy Andrews was named to the All-Summit First Team, the league office announced Wednesday (April 14).

"Amy is a tremendous athlete and teammate," said associate head coach Josee Primeau. "She put in a lot of work over the last couple of years, and we are now seeing results more consistently. This was a difficult year for everyone, her included, but she wanted to do the very best she could and she managed to get the job done when the team needed her to. I know she will continue to grow in her abilities, and we can't wait to see what she has in store for us."

The award is the first career for Andrews as she is second in the league in goals (7), seventh in points (14), and third in game-winning goals (2). She scored seven goals in the last eight games, including two multi-goal games and both game-winners in a sweep of Oral Roberts.

In her third season with WIU, she has started to scatter her name in the record book. The forward is tied fifth all-time in game-winning goals (5) and tied sixth for goals (14). Her mark of seven goals is tied for fifth all-time in a season. Andrews also tied individual match-records in ninth for points (4) and third in goals (2) twice in back-to-back seasons.
