MACOMB, IL – Western Illinois women's soccer closed its 2025 season Sunday afternoon at John MacKenzie Alumni Field, falling 1-0 to Southern Indiana in Ohio Valley Conference play.
The Screaming Eagles netted the match's only goal in the 79th minute when Anna Depenbrock scored off assists from Emerson Grafton and Emma Thurston.
Freshman goalkeeper Lillian Johns turned in another strong effort in net for the Leathernecks, finishing with seven saves — six of which came in the second half.
Kayla Turner was the only Leatherneck to register a shot on goal, while Claire Brown and Hana Daoudi each added attempts in the second half.
The Leathernecks conclude the season with a 1-17-1 overall record and an 0-8-1 mark in OVC play.
