For The Kids | On Thursday, RockyThon will be at the game with an informational table where you can buy merch and learn more about the event! NGWSD | Western Illinois University will commemorate the 34th annual celebration of National Girls and Women in Sports Day (NGWSD). This celebration inspires girls and women to play and be active and to realize their full power.

Girls ages 12 and under are invited to register and attend the NGWSD activities in Brophy Hall to learn about a variety of sports and team building from college student-athletes. Participants are then invited to participate in the pregame high five tunnel prior to the WIU women's basketball team play North Dakota State at 4:30 PM.  There is no cost to attend and participants will receive general admission tickets to the game.

Be Bold Wear Gold | On Saturday, fans are encouraged to wear gold Leatherneck gear and pack Western Hall. The first 100 fans will receive a free gold rally towel.

Last Time Out | WIU nearly erased a 20 point deficit as Danni Nichols set another career-high (26 points) in a 77-71 loss to the North Dakota Fighting Hawks (13-8, 4-4) on Sunday (Jan. 26).

The Fighting Hawks owned its largest of the game by 20 points to start the fourth, and the Leathernecks fought back and made it a six-point game twice (66-72) and (71-77) from deep three-pointer by Olivia Kaufmann and a Carla Flores jumper. However, North Dakota used the free-throw line to snap the Western win streak and hold on.
