Western's Last Outing
Western left the Mizzou Spring Open with a new school record, a pair of all-time marks and 17 'Top 5' finishes.

Bo Brasseur highlighted the Leathernecks' dominating performance in the long jump event, where she tabbed a school record with a 6.23-meter mark (20' 5.25"). She is the only Leatherneck to surpass 20 feet on Western's all-time list and was also the lone competitor to do so inside Audrey J. Walton Stadium Saturday. The effort currently sits 'Top 20' in the nation.

Western Outdoor Marks
The 2019 outdoor season has captured several all-time marks as well as a school record.

Bo Brassuer tallied the farthest long jump in school history with a 6.23-meter performance at the Mizzou Open (April 6), and she now possesses the Leathernecks' indoor and outdoor records in the event.  The meet also saw Isaiah LeSure (long jump, 7.33 meters), Michaela Busch (100-meter hurdles, 14.59) and Tia Dorshorst (pole vault, 3.31 meters) crack their respective 'Top 10' lists.

The men's long jump list went untouched for 10 seasons until LeSure's effort while the women's 100-meter hurdle rankings were unscathed since 2004.

•    Brasseur | Long Jump | 20-5.25 (6.23) (W) | 1st
•    LeSure | Long Jump | 24-00.75 (7.33) (W) | 7th
•    Dorshorst | Pole Vault | 10-10.23 (3.31) | 8th
•    Busch | 100-M Hurdles | 14.59 | 9th

The Leathernecks sit 'Top 5' in several events on The Summit League's 2019 performance list.

Athletes to Watch
Bo Brasseur, Michaela Busch, and Josh Kirby are expected to carry their indoor successes into the outdoor season, as the Summit All-League selections were recently named Preseason Athletes to Watch.

They each medaled at the indoor league championships in the long jump, pentathlon, and the 60-meter hurdles, respectively.

Next Up
Western returns to Columbia, Mo., for the second time this month to compete in Mizzou's Tom Botts Invitational (April 19-20).
