Tip-Off | The Western Illinois women's basketball team welcomes in-state rival Bradley University on Wednesday (Nov. 20) at 5:30 p.m.

Series History | The Braves own the all-time series advantage 26-13 with earning the victory the last time both sides took the floor in 2017, 87-80. Both sides first squared off in the 1971-72 season where the Leathernecks won 63-39.

Last Time Out | WIU traveled to Big Ten Purdue and was just outlasted 66-59 on Sunday (Nov. 17).

Annabel Graettinger caught fire from the tip and nailed a jumper to score the first points for the Leathernecks. The senior finished with a team-high 22 points and added six rebounds.

On the defensive side of the ball, Evan Zars swatted a season-high six blocks and Olivia Kaufmann had six steals, only one away from tying her career-high.

Kaufmann's Nomination | Olivia Kaufmann was tabbed to the All-Summit League Second Team prior to the 2019 campaign. The senior guard is entering her final season with the Leathernecks, after averaging 16 points, 5.4 rebounds and 3.8 assists a year ago. She posted a season-high 28 points against North Dakota on February 1, 2019.

Senior Season | The WIU roster holds four seniors this season with Avery Hamm, Kyra Washington, Graettinger and Kaufmann.

The New Faces in the Hall | The Purple and Gold welcomed three new players to the 2019-20 squad in freshmen Alissa Dins and Kennedy Flanagan along with Evan Zars, a transfer from Saint Louis.

Challenging Start |
Western Illinois continues in the tradition of stacking a highly competitive slate to start the season, including Drake and Mizzou who both made NCAA appearances in the 2018-19 season as well as Big Ten opponent Purdue.

Scouting the Braves |
The Braves sit a 2-1 overall with wins over Oakland and Eureka.  The lone loss of the season came at #24/#25 Michigan on Nov. 10. Bradley was picked to finish fourth in the Missouri Valley Conference pre-season poll to mark the highest the Braves have been picked in the preseason poll since 1991-92. Only three games in the season, Gabi Haacka (12.3) and Lasha Petree (13.0) are averaging double digits.

Up Next |
The Leathernecks gear up for a road battle versus Drake on Sunday (Nov. 24).
