Kick-off |The Western Illinois women's soccer team closes the book on a season to remember with a road trip at South Dakota on Sunday (Nov. 3).

Senior Send-Off | For Emily Bollman, Madison Bulin, Kayla McCormick, Natalie Sielaff, Ines Palmiero Herrera, and Maddie Wilsey, Sunday's match will mark their final outings as a Leatherneck.

Straight Flexin | Fans can follow along the NCAA Instagram at @ncaasoccer to see what game day is like for a WIU women's soccer player.

Last Time Out | Everything was left out on the pitch by the Western Illinois women's soccer team on Senior Day as they dropped a heart breaker 1-0 to Oral Roberts at the end of overtime on Sunday (Oct. 27).

The Leathernecks unleashed 19 total shots to set a new team-high led by Amy Andrews with a career-high of six.

Zoe Clarke fired five shots with four being on frame as the midfielder nearly found the back of the net for WIU. She had a chance to find the golden goal in the first overtime, but her shot was saved.

It looked like both sides earned a point, but Oral Roberts scored the golden goal in the 110th minute.

Ines Palmiero Herrera held the Golden Eagles scoreless for 109 minutes with six saves to bring her career total to 258.

Andrews, Cassidy Grunewald, Natalie Nagle, Jenna Lundgren, Lauryn Peters, Natalie Sielaff, and Bridget Schuler, gave every ounce as they each played all 110 minutes.

In The League | So far in 2019 campaign, a trio of Leathernecks see their names in the Summit League ranks. On the offensive side of the ball, Cassidy Grunewald is tied for third with three assists, and Amy Andrews is tied for fifth with six goals. Rounding out the squad, Ines Palmiero Herrera is fourth with 81 saves.

Shots, shots, Everybody | Fourteen different players have fired a shot while wearing the Purple and Gold this season compared to only four who haven't. Zoe Clarke (42), Amy Andrews (43), Jenna Lundgren (23), and Emily Bollman (18) set the pace for WIU.

Reunited | Current graduate assistant coach, Nykosi Simmons, reunites with her former teammate and assistant coach Josee Primeau. The duo made a significant impact on the program at Mississippi Valley State. The four-year starters were selected to the SWAC Top 20 Players list, along with earning Most Valuable Player and the MVSU Female Athlete of the Year award.

Between the Pipes | Goalkeeper Ines Palmiero Herrera has continued to climb the ranks in the record book. On Sept. 23, she became fourth all-time in career saves against UNI and chases Victoria Kappel (274) for third all-time. Her seventh career shutout and fourth of the season moved her to third all-time in a season tying Meghan Tyk (2007). She stopped all five shots Purdue Fort Wayne had as she now is only one more win away from passing Samantha Clark (2006) for fifth all-time.

Scouting the Coyotes | South Dakota closes out the 2019 season on the road Oral Roberts and the host of Western. The Coyotes are 7-9-1 and 2-3-1 in League play. Both Alexis Mitchell and Kellee Willer have both scored five goals this season to lead the attack.
