SENIOR (2015): 2015 Fall Academic Distinguished Scholar... Appeared in and started all 17 matches… Recorded 51 saves while allowing 31 goals… Logged 1,325 minutes and 46 seconds in goal… Recorded a season-high seven saves against Missouri State (Sept. 20).
REDSHIRT JUNIOR (2014): 2014-15 Summit League Commissioner's List of Academic Excellence... 2014 Summit League Fall Academic Honor Roll Distinguished Scholar... Summit League Defensive Player of the Week (Aug. 25)... Earned 17 starts... Recorded 100 saves while allowing 33 goals... Finished with a 5-12-1 record... Posted two shutouts... Logged just under 1500 minutes in goal... Recorded 12 saves against UMKC (Sep. 12).
JUNIOR (2013): 2013 Summit League Fall Academic Honor Roll Distinguished Scholar... Redshirted after playing in only three matches... Logged 245 minutes in goal... Allowed one goal and recorded one shutout... Finished the year 1-0-1 after limiting opponents to 0.37 goals per game.
SOPHOMORE (2012): Led the Summit League in goals against (4) and goals against average (0.56) and ranked second in save percentage (.852)... Kappel appeared in eight games, recording six starts... she posted a 5-2 record with three shutouts... finished the season with 23 saves for a .852 save percentage and four goals against for a 0.56 goals against average... tallied a season high seven saves against Omaha on Oct. 19.

Kappel started 18 games in net for the Leathernecks... finished with a 2.04 goals-against average... 87 saves... .702 save percentage... four shutouts in 2011... her 87 saves is third in the Summit League and seventh all-time in program history... her four shutouts ranked third in the league... career-high 10 saves against NDSU on Oct. 9.
HIGH SCHOOL: Earned All-Conference and All-Sectional honors during three varsity seasons... participated in the Olympic Development Program... helped lead her team deep into the Illinois State Tournament in 2009 and 2010, collecting a third-place finish in 2009 and a runner-up finish in 2010... the 2010 squad finished with just one loss... was the starting goalkeeper for Carl Sandburg since her freshman year.
