Leatherneck Football Camp Dates for 2015 Scheduled

Football offering camps in Macomb, Quad Cities, Springfield, Chicago and St. Louis area

MACOMB, Ill. – Western Illinois Football will offer several camps during summer 2015, both for individuals and teams. Head coach Bob Nielson and his staff will hold camps in Macomb, and around different parts of Illinois including: north and south Chicago, St. Louis, Springfield, Moline and South Beloit. All camps are open to students entering grades 9-12.

Four different 1-Day Prospect Camps will be held in June and July. The cost is $40 per camper, which includes instruction and a t-shirt, and all four camps run from 1-5 p.m. Walk-up registrations are accepted for $50.

On June 25 the St. Louis area 1-day camp will take place at East St. Louis High School in East St. Louis, Illinois. The following day (June 26), the 1-Day camp will be held on the Western Illinois University campus in Macomb.

The Leatherneck coaching staff will take their camps back on the road the very next day in the north Chicago area on June 27th at Huntley High School and then working down to south Chicago June 28th at the McCook Athletic Complex in McCook.

The Leatherneck program will offer three full-day padded Offensive Line Technique Camps. The first will take place at Springfield High School in Springfield on June 10. Another will be held on June 17th at South Beloit High School in South Beloit, Illinois, and on July 15 the camp will travel to Rock Island HS in Rock Island, Illinois.

The cost of the Offensive Line Camp is $100 per camper, which includes individual teaching, video review and a notebook. Discounts are offered for groups of 3-4 ($90 per camper) and 5-or more ($80 per camper). Registration starts at 8:30 a.m., the camp begins at 9 a.m. and concludes by 4 p.m.

On July 22, the second 1-day camp in Macomb will take place on the WIU campus.

A three-day Team Camp will take place at WIU, running from July 23-25. Cost for resident campers is $160, which includes: room, board, instruction, competitions and a t-shirt. Individuals not affiliated with a team are welcome to sign up. Those individuals will be assigned to a 'renegade' team and coached by Western Illinois staff members.
