FORT WAYNE, Ind. – Western Illinois women's tennis closed out the opening weekend of Summit League play with a 7-0 defeat at Fort Wayne. The loss drops Western to 0-14 overall and 0-3 in the League.
Jenna Wallace lost at the number one singles 6-2, 6-4. Nicole Jones fell 6-2, 6-0 at number two singles.
Jessica Callahan and Jamee Hale were blanked at the three and six singles match, respectively. Andriana Johnson fell 6-1, 6-1 at four singles while Ese Davis lost a 6-0, 6-1 decision at the number five spot.
Fort Wayne swept all three doubles matches.
Western will play its first home match of the season next Sunday (April 13), facing Chicago State at 2 p.m.
