MACOMB, Ill. - Western Illinois men's basketball head coach Billy Wright announced the signing of Dalan Ancrum (Round Rock, Texas/Westwood) to a National Letter of Intent on Monday.
“Dalan is an athletic wing who has the ability to shoot the three and score off the bounce," said coach Wright. "Defensively, he is capable of guarding multiple positions on the perimeter and can use his length to disrupt the ball handler. He is a solid young man who works hard, wants to win and who has a passion for the game.”
This past season (2013-14), Ancrum, who was tabbed All-District First Team for the second consecutive season, averaged 18.6 points, 6.6 rebounds, 2.3 assists and 2.1 steals per game.
The 6-5, 175-pound guard also earned First Team All-Central Texas honors following his senior campaign.
