SPRINGBORO, Ohio – Western Illinois men's tennis dropped a 6-0 decision to Wright State on Thursday morning (March 13) at the South Regency Tennis Center. The Leathernecks slipped to 1-10 overall on the year while WSU improved to 6-7.
For the third straight match, Western has been limited to five players. Sophomore Mitch Granger lost 6-0, 6-3 in number one singles. Max Cederkall lost 6-1, 6-3 at number two; Brandon Meeker dropped a 6-4, 6-3 decision at number three.
Chris Bunch fell 6-0, 6-2 in the number four, and Brett Furmanski lost 6-1, 6-2 at the number five. The Raiders swept the doubles point, winning 8-4 in the number one doubles and 8-2 in the number two spot.
The Leathernecks return home for Summit League play, playing host to IUPUI on Saturday (March 15) in Galesburg. Match time is scheduled for 11 a.m.
