MACOMB, Ill. – Fighting Leatherneck volleyball recognized the 2013 team, its accomplishments and seniors Sarah Fetter and Heather Smith during a banquet held on Saturday (Jan. 25) at Magnolias in Macomb.
"It's always nice to get together as a group and celebrate our accomplishments from the season," said head coach April Hall. "Each year we progress further and achieve more success. We achieved our biggest goal of advancing to the Summit League Tournament, and as a group, we cannot wait to go even further next year. As always, many thanks to our supporters, family, friends and fans!"
Hall and her staff presented awards for season statistical leaders and most improved over the course of the season. The award winners and their accomplishments can be viewed below.
Most kills (377), best individual hitting percentage (.232), Honorable Mention All-League, All-Tournament team, junior Ann Miller.

Most kills/set (3.75), junior Samantha Fournier.

Most assists (1,129) and assists/set (9.99), senior Sarah Fetter.

Most blocks (66), sophomore Jordan Jackson.

Most blocks/set (0.7), junior Mallory Gibson.

Most service aces (33), service aces/set (0.39), digs (318) and digs/set (3.79), junior Molly Murphy.

Most improved, as voted on by players and coaches, freshmen Melanie Miller and Sarah Sikula.

The 2013 team returned to The Summit League Tournament for the first time since 2007 after finishing the season with a 12-18 overall mark and 6-8 record in league play. The 2013 team highlight can be viewed below.
