2013 (JUNIOR): Appeared in 22 matches, and 80 total sets... Led the team in blocks per set with 0.70 and finished second in total blocks (56)... Finished with a career-best 10 blocks in the Leathernecks' season-opening match at Bradley (8/30)... Had five or more blocks in five contests... Finished the season with 160 kills (2.0 per set)... Her 20 kills vs. IUPUI (11/3) was also a career-best... Had six matches with 10-plus kills.
2012 (SOPHOMORE): Played in 105 of Western's 110 sets...Fininshed with 110 kills (1.05 per set)...Tied for the team lead in blocks with 82, and her 0.78 blocks per set was a team-best...Tallied 19 solo blocks which was a team-high...Tallied a career-high nine kills at home at Chicago State (Nov. 6)...Recorded eight blocks at South Dakota State (Oct. 19) before stuffing eight Bison hits a day later at North Dakota State, making her total 17 blocks in two days...She also had seven blocks at Fort Wayne on Oct. 8.
2011 (FRESHMAN): Played in 76 sets over 23 appearances… Topped the team with 0.80 blocks per set and ranked second with 61 total blocks… Had six kills and eight total blocks (five solo) against Savannah State (Sept. 4) in her first career appearance… Collected six total blocks against Southern Utah (Sept. 23) and a season-high nine blocks in the four-set win at UMKC (Sept. 30)… Posted back-to-back matches with four blocks against DePaul (Oct. 18) and Oral Roberts (Oct. 20)… Also posted a season-high seven kills on 17 attempts in the home sweep over DePaul (Oct. 18).
HIGH SCHOOL: Three-year starter and team captain… earned First Team All-Conference and All-Area honors as a junior… Earned honorable mention honors as one of the Top 100 spikers in Illinois from the Champaign News Gazette… earned three letters in basketball and track... A Second Team All-Conference selection in basketball sophomore and junior year… a two-time state qualifier in the Triple Jump.
PERSONAL: Daughter of Steve and Judi Gibson… born November 19, 1992 in Davenport, Iowa… Admires Leo Sayles, a volleyball coach at Bryan College (Dayton, Tenn.), because he helped her develop a passion for volleyball… Fan of the Chicago Bulls.
