23rd ANNUAL LEE CALHOUN MEMORIAL INVITATIONAL
Date: Friday-Saturday, April 13-14, 2012
Site: Western Illinois University - Hanson Field - Macomb, IL

Lee Quency Calhoun, former Men's Track & Field Coach at Western Illinois University, now deceased, is honored annually through this meet for his place in track & field history. Lee was the 1956 and 1960 Olympic Gold Medalist in the 110m Hurdles. Lee was a former World Record holder, a member of the National Track & Field Hall of Fame, and served on numerous USA National Track & Field team coaching staffs.

Gwen Calhoun, the wife of the late Lee Calhoun, and her daughter, Brenda Calhoun Cash, will be in attendance at this year's event. Former Olympians Hayes Jones and Dave Odegard are scheduled to attend while Morgan Dukes, The First Lady of Gospel Radio, will also make an appearance. Dukes is the niece of the late Lee Calhoun.

The 2012 Lee Calhoun Memorial Invitational program cover features the seven Fighting Leathernecks who were named to the All-Summit League Indoor team; Carianna Cottone, Amy Byers, Krystle Eskridge, Chelsea Lynes, Dana LaRue, Michael Crabtree and Jamario Taylor.
