MACOMB, Ill. - Western Illinois student-athletes took part in the McDonough County Special Recreation Association's Special Olympics Bowling held at Digger's College City Bowl on Tuesday, November 8.
Special Olympic athletes were awarded Bowling Certificates at the event for their accomplishments, hard work and dedication, and members of the cross country, track and field, women's soccer, volleyball and cheerleading squads were there to cheer them on.
For those who wish to support the organization, MCRSA offers an Adopt-An-Athlete program which allows individuals to help those who cannot afford the fees to participate, is always looking for volunteers and sells t-shirts for 12 dollars. For more information, visit their website.
