Western Illinois men's soccer team will return home for a non-league matchup with Green Bay at 3 p.m. on Tuesday at John Mackenzie Alumni Field
The Fighting
Leathernecks (3-6-6) are coming off a scoreless draw against Oakland in their last match. Western Illinois kept itself in a fourth-place tie with the Golden Grizzlies in The Summit League after Saturday/s match. The Leathernecks came from behind to tie Western Michigan in their last non-league contest on Oct. 17.
The Phoenix (9-4-1) enter Tuesday's matchup on a five-match winning streak including wins over in-state rivals Milwaukee and Wisconsin. Green Bay has faced four teams that the Leathernecks have or will have played by season's end. The Phoenix defeated Oral Roberts and Valparaiso, dropped a match to Bradley and played Western Michigan to a 3-3 draw earlier this year.

Ryan comes up Big
Western
Illinois goalkeeper Andy Ryan came up huge in Saturday's match at Oakland. The senior goalkeeper tied a season-high with eight saves against the Golden Grizzlies to improve his league-leading total to 76 saves on the season. Ryan has now recorded three shutouts on the year and has posted five or more saves on nine occasions this season.
Finding the Net
The Leathernecks will look to find more offense in the final three matches of the season. Western Illinois is averaging just one goal per match this year but has held opponents to just 1.33 goals per match.
Western has not had a player scored more than two goals this season, though the Leathernecks have notched goals from 11 different players through the first 15 matches of the year. Last season, the Leathernecks had ten different players score a goal and averaged 1.15 goals per match.
