GALESBURG, Ill.- Senior Sean Ragee-Nelson won his fifth singles match in a row as the Western Illinois men's tennis team defeated Chicago State, 4-1, at the Lakeside Racquet Club.
After picking up a default win at No. 6 singles, senior Zach Frisch got things rolling for the Leathernecks (6-15) by defeating Jonathon Sutjiadi at No. 1 singles, 7-5,
6-2. Fellow senior Neil Lesinski helped the cause by picking up a win at No. 3 over Auir Ahmad in straight sets, 6-2, 6-4. Ragee-Nelson clinched the match with his fifth win in a row by beating Ivan Mojsejev, also in straight sets, 6-4, 6-3.
Western heads to its second and final Summit League cluster of the season, April 9-11, in Fort Wayne, Ind., which will feature matches against South Dakota State, IUPUI and host IPFW.
