Mariah Mitchell led Western Illinois in kills (269) and points (313.5) over the course of the 2019 season.

Best advice ever received?

That volleyball is just a game of mistakes, someone’s got to make them. Don’t dwell on it if you do. 

Favorite memory at Western Illinois?

Singing karaoke on the bus or eating snacks on the bench
 
Biggest hobby outside of sports?
 
Doing anything outside or cooking new recipes with my friends.

What are your plans after Western Illinois?

To work for an agricultural company genetically engineering crops.
 
Favorite food?

Oreos.
 
Sport you're best at other than volleyball?

I’d like to think basketball.
 
Do you have a pre-game routine?

My pregame routine is to dance and run around in the locker room like a goof.
