Macomb, IL - Western Illinois men's soccer junior forward George Frost was named the Ohio Valley Conference Co-Offensive Player of the Week following a standout week for the Leathernecks.

Frost appeared in both of Western Illinois' matches during the week and played a key role in the Leathernecks' 4-0 victory over Illinois Springfield on Sunday.

The junior forward recorded two goals and an assist in the victory, contributing to three of Western Illinois' four goals. Frost opened his scoring in the 83rd minute, finding the back of the net off assists from Alexis Beltran and Jack Schwering. He then added his second goal in the final minute, with Schwering providing the assist.

Frost's performance helped Western Illinois secure its first shutout of the season and its first four-goal performance of the 2026 campaign.

Through the opening portion of the season, Frost leads the OVC in both goals and total points. He has recorded four goals and nine points on the season, while his assist against Illinois Springfield marked his first of the season.

The weekly honor adds to Frost's strong start to the 2026 campaign as he continues to provide a consistent offensive presence for the Leathernecks.
