Dr. Cameron Caldwell-Conner Named to Minority Opportunities Athletic Association Board of Directors

MACOMB, IL. — Dr. Cameron R. Caldwell-Conner, Associate Athletic Director for External Operations at Western Illinois University, has been selected to serve on the Board of Directors for the Minority Opportunities Athletic Association (MOAA), a national organization dedicated to advancing diversity and equity within the athletics industry.

A longstanding and committed member of MOAA, Dr. Caldwell-Conner has actively contributed to the organization through service on several committees, including external relations, fundraising, and the Rising Star program. Through this work, he has championed diversity, leadership development, and equitable access, while also mentoring the next generation of athletics professionals.

"I am excited to serve as a board member to an organization that has done so much for me and my career, " said Dr. Cameron Caldwell-Conner. "The members of MOAA and the professional development opportunities MOAA has offered me have helped me grow as a professional in ways I never imagined. I am looking forward to continue the mission of MOAA of helping develop minorities in this industry". 

MOAA is administered by the National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics (NACDA) and is dedicated to promoting equitable employment opportunities for minorities in the athletics industry. The organization facilitates the exchange of ideas, creates networking opportunities, and advocates for increased representation of minorities in athletics administration at all levels. Additionally, MOAA works to cultivate an inclusive sports environment that supports and empowers aspiring professionals from all backgrounds.

Dr. Caldwell-Conner's appointment underscores both his professional achievements and his continued dedication to fostering inclusive excellence within collegiate athletics.
