Women's Basketball Adds NAIA Transfer

MACOMB, Ill- Western Illinois Women's Basketball added to their 2025-2026 roster this morning bringing in NAIA transfer Mallory Shetley from Columbia College in Missouri. Shetley, a 6'0 Forward from Bourbon, Missouri, was the all time leading scorer in program history at Columbia College scoring an incredible 2,197 points in five seasons with the Cougars.

Last season Mallory averaged 17.2 points per game and 5.8 rebounds per game starting in all 32 games while recording 43 blocks and 33 steals. During her time at Columbia College, Shetley was named to the All-AMC First Team five different times and was named to the All-AMC Defensive Team her last three seasons. She was also the AMC Freshman of the Year during the 2020-2021 season where she averaged 13.1 points per game shooting 41.4% from the field and added 5.1 rebounds per game. She broke several program records as well including most field goals in a career (849), most free throws attempted (575) and most free throws made in a career (446), and highest free throw percentage in a game (100%) where she went 10-10 from the charity stripe back on January 20, 2025.

"We are really excited to add Mallory to an already loaded roster. She brings so much experience and maturity, both as a basketball player and as a person. She is extremely versatile, which will help her fill any roll we ask of her." said head coach JD Gravina.

Shetley has started 147 out of 148 games during her time at Columbia College and ranks third all time in program history in rebounds (827). The Leathernecks add a talented Forward who will play alongside the duo of Mia Nicastro and Raegan McCowan, both of which were named to the All-OVC First Team last season.
