Last Time Out
Western Illinois rolled to a 90–41 victory over Omaha on Dec. 13 at Western Hall, improving to 8–1 on the season. The Leathernecks jumped out early with a 25–9 first quarter and never looked back, leading wire-to-wire behind a balanced offensive attack and stifling defense. WIU shot 53.6 percent from the field, outscored the Mavericks 56–16 in the paint and forced 25 turnovers that turned into 33 points. Raegan McCowan led the way with 17 points on 7-of-11 shooting, while Allie Meadows added 18 points and Addi Brownfield chipped in 14 as Western Illinois cruised to its third straight win.
Scouting the Lions
Lindenwood enters the 2025–26 season with an up-tempo style that looks to pressure opponents on both ends of the floor, pushing the pace offensively while using active, aggressive defense to create transition opportunities. The Lions are most effective when attacking the paint early, crashing the glass, and forcing turnovers with ball pressure, but consistency and discipline will be key as they aim to limit fouls and protect the ball. With a mix of returning experience and developing depth, Lindenwood has the tools to be a competitive, high-energy opponent throughout the season.
