MACOMB, Ill. – Leatherneck Athletics has released its 2023-24 annual report, which highlights the academic and athletic successes of teams and individual student-athletes throughout the last academic year. Below, you'll find the letter from Director of Athletics Paul A. Bubb that shares highlights from the annual report. 

Leatherneck Nation,

This past year saw the beginning of a new era for most of our teams in the Ohio Valley Conference. During the fall semester, football and men's soccer competed their final seasons in the Missouri Valley Football Conference and the Summit League, respectively. They will join the OVC this year, marking the first time that every Leatherneck team will compete in one athletic conference. 

As you will see on the following pages, our teams enjoyed success during their first year in the OVC: post-season play for Volleyball, Men's and Women's Basketball, along with several teams earning top five finishes in the conference. We also had several student-athletes earn individual honors, making our first year in the OVC very special. 

Under the strategic plan we unveiled in the spring of 2023, Many Teams; One Goal: Student Success, we saw many accomplishments as we set the course for the future of Leatherneck Athletics as an NCAA Division I institution. Although this document notes the successes we've experienced in the last year, please join me in looking forward.

Forward to what can be; the successes we can achieve; the next memorable moments for Leatherneck Athletics. For that to happen, we need your support. The need has never been greater to help Leatherneck Athletics re-emerge as a dominant program. Support from the Leatherneck Club membership is what truly makes the difference for our student-athletes, coaches, and staff.

Now let's take a moment to look back at what made this past year a GREAT YEAR to be a LEATHERNECK!!!
