Maxton Polad followed the wild pitch with a walk of his own as WIU had two base runners on. Hege advanced to third base on a Cesar Franco flyout. Polad advanced into scoring position on another Northern Kentucky wild pitch. With a free base open at first, Adam Juran drew the Leatherneck's third walk of the inning as WIU loaded the bases.
