Killen, AL- The Western Illinois Men's Golf team finished in 7th place at the Turtle Point Invite shooting a 895 (+31) as a team. The Leathernecks shot a 300 in rounds one and three, and shot a 295 in round two.
WIU was led by Baptiste Labeyrie who finished the Turtle Point Invite T30 (+4). Labeyrie finished with 11 birdies total, including four birdies in rounds two and three where he shot a 73 in both rounds (+1).
Nathan Tillman finished right behind at T35 (+6). Tillman got better each round of the tournament shooting a +4 in round one, +2 in round two, and shooting an even 72 in round three. Tillman finished the tournament with two eagles and four birdies, with three birdies coming in round one.
Rounding out the scores for the Leathernecks was Mateo Rascon (+8), Luke Lofgren (+15), and Owen Howe (+19).
This concludes the fall portion of WIU's schedule and they will now prepare for the spring season.
