MACOMB, Ill.- The Western Illinois Leathernecks men's golf program and head coach Charlton Zimmerman have announced the signing of Marius Christiansen, who will join the Leathernecks from Holte, Denmark.

Christiansen attended Virum Gymnasium and competed for Simons Golf Club, where he spent six years developing his game and gaining valuable tournament experience. His consistent play and competitive success were highlighted in 2025 when he earned Division Winner honors.

Christiansen said he chose Western Illinois University after connecting with the program's vision and leadership.

"I got a very good impression of Coach Zimmerman and the plan he has for the team," Christiansen said.

Christiansen brings international experience and a competitive mindset to the Leathernecks as the program continues to build for the future.
