Western Illinois Men's Golf Releases 23-24 Schedule

Fall Schedule Features Five Meet

MACOMB -- The Western Illinois men's golf program unveiled it fall 2023 and spring 2024 schedule this week featuring a busy calendar for each season.

The Leatherneck men open the season on September 5, playing in the two-day Iowa Fall Classic at Blue Top Ridge in Riverside, Iowa. The Leathernecks are on the road all fall, playing meets at the Valpo Invitational (Sand Creek Country Club, Chesterton, Indiana; Sept. 11-12), the Wildcat Invitational (Manhattan, Kansas; Sept. 17-18) and the Zach Johnson Invitational (Glen Oaks Country Club, Des Moines, Iowa; Sept. 25-26). Western Illinois closes the fall campaign at the Big O Tournament, played at Indian Creek Golf Course in Elkhorn, Nebraska (Oct. 2-3).

After a few months off, the Leatherneck men tee off the spring 2024 portion of the schedule on February 18-19, playing at the Alabama State Spring Classic at the RTJ Senator Golf Course. Western Illinois takes another month-long break before playing the Twin Oaks Intercollegiate (Twin Oaks Country Club, Springfield, Missouri, March 18-19). The following week, the Leathernecks are at the Big Texan Invite, at River Hill Country Club in Edinburg, Texas.

Western Illinois then plays its lone home tournament, hosting the WIU Intercollegiate at TPC Deere Run in Silvis, Illinois on April 5-6. The Leathernecks close out the regular season, playing in the Stampede at the Creek Invite in Omaha, Nebraska on April 8-9.

Western Illinois begins postseason play at the Ohio Valley Conference Meet on April 21-24, playing at the Robert Trent Jones Fighting Joe Course in Muscle, Shoals, Alabama.

Mar. 18-19: Twin Oaks Intercollegiate hosted by Missouri State, Twin Oaks Country Club, Springfield, MO
Mar. 25-26: The Big Texan hosted by UTRGV at River Hill Country Club Edinberg, TX
Apr. 5-6: WIU Intercollegiate @ TPC Deere Run Silvis, IL
Apr. 8-9: Stampede at the Creek hosted by UNO at Indian Creek Golf Club Elkhorn, NE
Apr. 21-24: OVC Championship at RTJ Fighting Joe Course Muscle Shoals, Alabama
