Previous matchup: Western beat the Tommies this season on October 7th, a match played in Macomb. In the match, the Leathernecks jumped out to a 3-0 lead inside 25 minutes, with Liam Gainey, Armin Dedic, and Aidan Breslin all picking up goals. St. Thomas would fight back though, scoring a pair of goals in the second half, but Western would hold on to grab what's been the team's only win of the Summit League season. Western is 3-0 all-time in matches against St. Thomas, who joined the Summit League in 2021.

Scouting the opponents: St. Thomas currently sits at the bottom of the Summit League table, picking up just 2 points in 7 matches played. Earlier this season, the Tommies picked up wins against Chicago State and Milwaukee, but the Tommies haven't won since October 3rd. St. Thomas isn't a team to write off at home though, as the squad holds a 1-0-2 record in their last three home matches. St. Thomas is led by junior forward Faris Colic, who's tallied a pair of goals and an assist on the year.

So far this season: Western holds a 2-13-1 record with 3 points in Summit League play, currently sitting in fifth place in the conference. Western looks to close the season with a win on Saturday, ending the squad's year on the right note. Saturday's match will infact be the last that Western Illinois plays as a member of the Summit League, as Western's men's soccer program joins the OVC for the 2024 season.

Players to watch: In last week's senior day match with Omaha, freshman Oskar Grevelius scored his first goal as a Leatherneck. Grevelius has started every game for Western since September 7th, and has totaled eleven starts on the season. Also in last week's match, Kyle Owen etched his name into the Western Illinois record books. Owen started in his 76th match with the program, becoming the sole leader in matches started in Leatherneck history. Owen surpassed 4 players who were previously tied with 75, those players being Kosuke Kimura (2003-06), Preston Bernardi (2004-07), Jamie Crawford (1994-97), and Tom Soehn (1984-87).
