McCowan Takes Home OVC CO-Player & Freshman Player of the Week

BRENTWOOD, Tenn - Raegan McCowan was named the Ohio Valley Conference Co-Player & Freshmen of the Week announced today. This is the first Player of the Week honors for McCowan and Western Illinois as a member of the OVC.

McCowan opened her collegiate career with 19 points and four rebounds against Mount Mercy. Following up on night one, McCowan dropped a double-double with 13 points and 11 rebounds on the road at Wisconsin. Back at home against in-state rival Northern Illinois, McCowan set a new career high with 23 points. She also brought in seven rebounds and five assists.

McCowan led the Leathernecks in all three games in points, totaling 18.3 points per game, and rebounds, averaging 7.3 per game. McCowan shot 47.8% from the field and 64.7% from the free throw.
