MACOMB, Ill. - The Kansas City men's soccer team registered goals in the first and last minutes of Thursday's match (April 1) at Western Illinois to take a 2-0 victory over the Leathernecks. Ryan Khedoo (1') and Dontell Gilyard (90') were responsible for the scores, leading a KC team that posted 13 shots while limiting WIU to six.
Jonah Dancer recorded the Leathernecks' lone attempt on-goal in the 80th minute, while Seanan Main finished the afternoon with six saves. Corner kicks put the team in a position to score in the 53rd and 73rd minutes, but the ensuing shots traveled high.
WIU and KC return to John MacKenzie Alumni Field Saturday to conclude the series. The match also marks Western's home finale. First kick is scheduled for 1 p.m.
