TULSA, Okla. - Only one could leave the Case Soccer Complex with their first win of the spring season, and Amy Andrews made sure it was the Leathernecks: Western Illinois 1, Oral Roberts 0.
The junior forward scored the game-winning goal in the 72nd minute of Friday's match (March 19) to capture her third of the season and 10th of her career. The match also captured Megan Rasmussen's first career shutout, doing so on two saves.
There were plenty of shots in Tulsa, as Western pressured the Golden Eagles for 22 attempts with 12 on-goal. The shots were a season-high for the Leathernecks, and Jenna Lundgren led the way with all four of her attempts traveling on-frame.
The series wraps Sunday at 1 p.m.
