Leathernecks Head to Oral Roberts for Final Regular-Season Series

The Leathernecks are off to Tulsa Saturday and Sunday.

With the cancellation of the women's series between WIU and ORU, the men's contests will now tip-off at 4 p.m.

- The Leathernecks are in the midst of a five-game win streak; they haven't won three straight Summit League games since the 2012-13 season, where they won six in a row
- Will Carius has scored 20-plus points in four straight games and is averaging a team-best 18.0 PPG in league play

Sweep 
Western Illinois brought out the brooms in the series against Omaha and Denver. The team hadn't previously swept a league opponent since the 2016 season, where it recorded 86-71 and 63-60 decisions over Oral Roberts.

Summit Standings
With two regular-season games remaining, the Leathernecks currently sit seventh in league standings; the top eight teams earn a trip to the Summit League Tournament.

The Leathernecks missed the postseason a year ago but made waves in 2019 after upsetting the top-ranked South Dakota State, 79-76. The decision marked the first time in SL men's tournament history that a No. 8 seed defeated the No. 1. Western went on to play North Dakota State in the semifinals, where it fell, 76-73.
