MACOMB, Ill.
– Western Illinois baseball has had three road series in the state of Indiana this season, and will return to the area Friday for Summit League action at Fort Wayne.

RHP Ryan Dunne vs. LHP Damian Helm
RHP Javin Drake vs. RHP Shane Odzark

Last Outing
After two innings of play, rain and an unplayable field forced the umpires to call the remainder of Western's game against Missouri.

Drake received the start, and unofficially pitched two hitless innings while striking out three looking. Bailey Montgomery was the lone player to reach base with a single to right field.

Called It
Western Illinois has seen six games canceled so far this season due to weather. A season ago, just two were called.

Keep It Going
Deion Thompson has reached base in 11 consecutive games and is currently working a six-game hitting streak. He joins Johnathan Fleek as the only two Leathernecks to start every game this season, and has a team-high 19 hits and 10 RBIs.

Montgomery saw his three-game hitting streak snapped against South Dakota State (March 23), but has reached base in 12 straight games. His streak ties Steve McShane's for the longest this season.

In Relief
In 74.1 innings pitched, Western's relievers have a combined 3.63 ERA. Colan Borchers leads the pack with a 1.04 ERA in 8.2 innings, and is followed by J.T. Baksha (1.35 ERA / 6.2 IP), Alex Dorethy (1.54 ERA / 11.2 IP) and Jordan Mikel (1.59 ERA / 5.2 IP).

Scouting the Opposition
Fort Wayne is in search of its first win in Summit League play after series against Omaha and North Dakota State.

On Deck
Western returns to Alfred D. Boyer Stadium for an eight-game home stand that begins Wednesday, April 4, against Bradley. First pitch is scheduled for 4 p.m.
