Hagen Named The Summit League Swimmer of the Week

Senior earns second career weekly honor

MACOMB, Ill. – Western Illinois' Erica Hagen has earned The Summit League's Swimmer of the Week award, the conference announced Tuesday (Nov. 6). Hagen, who won Swimmer of the Week on Nov. 21 of last year, is the first Leatherneck women's swimmer to take two career weekly honors since Laura Dinkelmann.
 
Hagen registered a pair of individual victories in a dual meet on Saturday (Nov. 3) against Omaha. The Lisle, Ill., native touched first in both the 100-IM (1:00.40) and 100-fly (59.42).
 
A product of Lisle High School, Hagen also helped Western Illinois win the 400-medley relay with a time of 4:03.04.
 
Western Illinois next competes from Nov. 16-18 at the House of Champions in Indianapolis.
