WIU Concludes Dual Slate at Iowa

Western Illinois swimming & diving against Big Ten power Iowa.

IOWA CITY, Iowa — The Western Illinois swimming and diving teams finished its dual competition slate at Iowa on Friday (Feb. 7).
 
Tyler Cunningham placed third in the 200-free (1:47.08) and second in the 50-fly (24.68). Austin Martin took home second in the 50-breast (28.28) and Adam Peterson finished second in the 100-free (47.49).

Senior Miranda Mathus logged second in the 50-fly (26.88) and the 50-breast (32.27). Fellow senior Casey Roberts notched a pair of second place finishes in the 50-free (25.35) as well as the 100-free (55.50). Allison Spielman touched the wall in 28.17 seconds.
 
The Leathernecks will now prepare for the Summit League Championships held in Sioux Falls, S.D., Feb. 19-22.
