Aubrey Putman Joins Western Illinois Volleyball

Putman is an outside hitter hailing from Wilton, Iowa.

MACOMB, Ill. — Western Illinois head volleyball coach Ben Staupe announced the signing of Aubrey Putman on Thursday (Nov. 15) for the 2019-20 season.
 
"Aubrey is an extremely good athlete but an even better person," Staupe said. "Her positive attitude and relentless work ethic will be well received here at Western by not only her coaching staff but also her teammates. She has the ability to help contribute in all six positions.  We are excited for her to be part of the Leatherneck family."
 
Putman comes from Wilton High School in Wilton, Iowa, and played at the club level for the Iowa Rockets. She racked up 1,598 kills and over 1,000 digs over her career while earning First Team All-State honors as a junior. 
 
The outside hitter was named the Muscatine Journal Player of the Year during her sophomore and junior seasons. Putman was named All-Conference all four years and was two-time All-District honoree.
