Women's Golf Welcomes Hannah Butler

The Arnolds Park, Iowa, native joins the Leatherneck family.

MACOMB, Ill. — Western Illinois head women's golf coach Lia Biehl Lukkarinen announced the signing of Hannah Butler on Wednesday (Nov. 14) for the 2019-20 season.
 
"I'm excited to have Hannah joining the team next fall," said Biehl Lukkarinen. "Hannah's swing is very athletic and will transition very well to the D-1 level. She is a talented young lady with proven success at the Iowa State Championships, finishing 4th her junior year, with her Senior season yet to come. I 57961predict a strong Spring 2019 golf season for her, and she will join us in the fall ready to compete."
 
Butler joins the Leathernecks from Okoboji High School in Arnolds Park, Iowa. Hannah is a three-time overall Siouxland conference champion, first team all-conference, first team all-tournament and first team all-district selection.
 
She led Okoboji to its first overall conference title in 46 years with an average 18-hole score of 81.5. Butler guided her team to a third-place finish at the state tournament after firing 77 in Regionals and is the three-time reigning champion of the Northwest Iowa Junior Girls Golf Championship.
