WIU Women's Golf Heads to Peoria for Bradley Invitational

The two-day event will feature 36 holes on Saturday and 18 holes on Sunday

MACOMB, Ill. - The Western Illinois women's golf team is slated to continue its spring schedule Saturday and Sunday (April 1-2) with the Bradley Invitational at WeaverRidge Golf Club in Peoria, Ill. The event is set for three rounds over two days and includes 10 teams.

A NOTE FROM HEAD COACH LIA BIEHL LUKKARINEN: "The team is looking forward to competing at Bradley this weekend. WeaverRidge is a shot makers course that will test our accuracy and short game. Since Morehead State we have focused on our putting and trusting our set up positions. Having the entire team travel and get tournament rounds in is also exciting for us."

SO FAR THIS SEASON: Anna Cullinan leads WIU this season with a 77.36 stroke average and has the Leathernecks' top finish of the year... Cullinan finished third at the Creighton Classic with a 149 (74-75), an event the Leathernecks won... Alex Krehbiel ranks second on the team in stroke average (77.79)... She leads WIU with two top 10 finishes this season, first a t-9th place finish in the Redbird Invitational with a 223 (76-73-74) and then a t-7th place finish in the Creighton Classic... Allie Leingang ranks third on the team with a stroke average of 78.71.

THE FIELD (10 Teams): Bradley, Drake, Illinois-Chicago, Indiana State, Loyola, Missouri-St. Louis, Northern Iowa, South Dakota, Western Illinois, Wisconsin-Green Bay.
