Swimming and Diving Competes Against Butler and Eastern Illinois

The Leathernecks will face the Panthers and Bulldogs in Charleston, Ill.

MACOMB, Ill.- The Western Illinois swimming and diving team travels to Charleston, Ill. on Saturday (Oct. 28) to race against Eastern Illinois and Butler University. The meet begins at noon in the Padovan Pool.

The Leathernecks look to bounce back after competing against IUPUI last weekend. Erica Hagan lead the women winning the 50-breast (30.06) and the 100-breast (1:04:78). Brennan Bladel with a time of 56.38 and Kyle Siebert with 59.05 led the way finishing first and second in the 100-IM.

Last time the Leathernecks faced the Bulldogs, Chance McQuigg, Casey Roberts, Miranda Mathus, Brennan Bladel, Chris Neaveill, Kyle Siebert, Erica Hagan, Seth Brady and Taylor Winkel placed in the top ten in their respective events.

Both men's and women's swim team lead Eastern in match ups with the women posting an overall record of 20-16 and the men with a record of 26-10.
