Four Leathernecks Named Department Scholars for Fall 2014 Commencement

25 Leathernecks will receive their diplomas during on Saturday (December 20).

MACOMB, Ill. - Nick Bakeris (Construction Management), Taylor Hill (Mathematics), Jessica Knepp (Management) and Ashley Luke (Journalism and Political Science) have been named Department Scholars for the Fall 2014 Commencement Ceremony to be held on Saturday (December 20) at Western Hall. The four Leathernecks will lead a group of 25 total student-athletes receiving their diplomas.

Of the 24 student-athletes, Luke (Summa Cum Laude), Taylor Henning (Magna Cum Laude), Hill, Knepp and Jordan Walgren (Cum Laude) will be honored for their academic achievements. 

The weekend will also mark the induction of nine new members of Chi Alpha Sigma, the honors fraternity for student-athletes. The nine newest members are, Bakeris, Charlie Bales, Tyler Farrell, Hill, Megg Kelly, Knepp, Luke, Travis Stafford and Walgren.
