Robert Blaha (deceased),1993 - A member of two conference championship football teams (undefeated in 1942 with a record of 5-0-2) before being drafted by the St. Louis football Cardinals, Robert also was named Most Valuable Player for the WIU baseball team in 1942. He then served as a high school athletic director, coach, and teacher. He was inducted into Thornton's Baseball Hall of Fame in 1977 and the Illinois High School Baseball Coaches Hall of Fame in 1979.
