Eugene Zuccarini,1991 - Noted by several former WIU coaches as "one of the best all-around Western athletes ever," Gene was a four-year football starter in 1950, 1951, 1953, and 1954. He served as co-captain of the team in 1954. For 27 years, he was a teacher, counselor, and highly successful coach at Maine West High School in Des Plaines, IL.
