Ferrum, Va. -  Western Illinois Director of Athletics Tommy Bell will be inducted into the Ferrum College Hall of Fame in a ceremony on Friday evening (Oct. 4) as part of a national championship football team.

Ferrum College announced that its four national championship football teams will be inducted in the ceremony. Bell served as an athletic trainer for the 1974 team, as all members of the program are receiving this distinction.

Bell, in his first year at Western, worked as Head Athletic Trainer at Radford University from 1980-1984, then served as full-time athletic trainer for the Philadelphia Phillies AAA affiliate Portland Beavers from 1984-87 prior to his start in athletic administration on the collegiate level.
