MACOMB, Ill. - The Western Illinois Athletics Department, in partnership with its website provider Neulion, has launched a mobile version of GoLeathernecks.com.

The mobile site is part of an on-going process that began with the GoLeathernecks.com redesign last fall. The latest news, schedules/results, and photo galleries are available on phones with mobile browser capabilities.

Fans with internet access on their smartphones can simply type in the athletics department web address www.GoLeathernecks.com and they will automatically be redirected to the mobile website.

A GoLeathernecks.com mobile app is currently in development for Android and iPhone users, with launch in the near future.

"We are very excited to announce the launch of the GoLeathernecks.com mobile website. So much technology today is geared towards smartphones and tablets. This is an excellent opportunity for Leatherneck fans everywhere to keep up-to-date on the latest news, scores, photos and videos," said Patrick Osterman, Director of Media Services. "We anticipate launching our mobile apps in the near future to further expand our mobile technology capabilities."
