Western Illinois softball player Kacyee Hart (Frankfort, Illinois/Lincoln-Way East) has been named the Hampton Inn Scholar-Athlete of the Week on Monday (March 13) for her performance on the field this past week, and continued success in the classroom. 

Hart finished the 2015 Rainbow Wahine Classic 2-0 with a 1.11 ERA. The junior made two starts, striking out seven in each contest, one shy of her single-game high. 

In a pair of relief appearances, Hart struck out three more. The junior allowed only two extra base hits, holding opponents to a .176 average. 

Hart was named to the All-Tournament team by coaches from other participating teams.

In addition to her performance on the field, Hart maintains a 3.705 GPA as a biology major.
